Stubble

This painting was conceived during a walk by the River Whiteadder in Berwickshire, Scotland, at the end of September 2001. The sun was setting on newly harvested barley. The visual impression was astonishing and inspiring. A subtle use of washes has been used to suggest depth within a restricted colour range.
